YOUR CIRCA 1800'S LINCOLN ROCKER PROJECT SM!!!
|
LINCOLN ROCKER REPAIRS TO BE DONE TO BACK & SEAT!!!
|
HAND CANE CURVE GUIDE TM MAKES IT SO VERY EASY!!!
|
HAND CANE TIE OFFS NOT BUNCHED UP!!!
|
* We will begin our project together on the 12th of January
2009!!! Come & join us, have fun, & learn
the all new Advanced
Chair Caning Method
TM taught by master seat weaver Ron
Goff!!!
* We will be doing the
(EASY TO DO) back of the Circa 1800's
Lincoln Rocker Project SM!!!
Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker Chair Cane Size!!!
The Chair Cane Size Chart
calls for Medium Hand Cane;
& I will be using Medium Hand Cane for the Circa 1800's
Lincoln
Rocker back!!! The Chair Cane Size Chart calls for
Medium Hand Cane for the bottom; but I
will be using the
Common Hand Cane for the bottom to give the Circa
1800's
Lincoln Rocker the larger footprint of the Common Hand
Cane for the much needed structural
support!!!
No resizing will be necessary!!!

The Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker Project!!! SM
Having A Museum Quality Chair
By Ronnie P. Goff
Copyright
April 13, 2006 - 2009
* The Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker Photographic Illustrations above, &
below are the absolute, 100% definitive Advanced Chair Caning Method TM
"HOW TO"
for doing a museum quality Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker!!!
* When I began to hand cane this Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker this
afternoon I discovered that it had
of all things 26 hand cane cane holes
on the right side of the back of the Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker,
&
27 hand cane holes on the left side of the Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker
back!!!
Challenge???
The Circa 1800's
Lincoln Rocker back will be hand caned accordingly!!!
* I have purposely shown exactly half (1/2) of the first diagonal
step which
is STEP
# 3 so that you can begin to see, & visualize the absolute 100%
correct definitive museum quality curves in the Circa 1800's Lincoln
Rocker
beginning
to appear, & take shape very nicely!!!
They are all completely 100% flat against the Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker
frame back!!!
* IMPORTANT NOTE: When you are using a Hand Cane Curve Guide TM
for any curved, or oval hand
caned chair whether it's a Hitchcock hand
caned chair, a Lincoln Rocker hand caned chair, etc. you will absolutely,
100% always get a museum quality
curve, or oval!!! And the museum
quality curves on your Hitchcock hand caned chair, or your Lincoln Rocker,
or any curved, or oval chair
are now OBTAINED WITH ABSOLUTELY NO
GUESSING WHATSOEVER!!!
* IMPORTANT
NOTE: Furthermore, when you use a Hand Cane
Curve Guide TM, you weave every single hand cane
strand com-
plete, finished with the correct tension on every single strand of
hand
cane pulled nice, & snug, tight!!! You absolutely do not ever
have to leave any hand cane strand
loose, or slack because
absolutely every single hand cane strand will be a 100% completed,
finished hand cane strand!!!
* IMPORTANT NOTE: Before we begin doing
our Circa 1800's Lincoln
Rocker Project SM we will put in the back of the Circa 1800's Lincoln
Rocker a Hand Cane Curve Guide TM which is placed center in the dead
top, &
bottom of the Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker so that we will have a
museum quality Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker
curved hand cane back!!!
* STEP #
1: As you can see from the photographic illustration above STEP 1
will go under the Hand
Cane Curve Guide TM horizontally from side to side!!!
Begin
weaving Step #1 from right to left with the very top of the back of the
Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker closest to
you!!!
NOTE:
|
STEP # 1 USING A HAND CANE CURVE GUIDE TM FROM "EAST" TO "WEST"!!!
|
STEP # 2 WILL GO BEHIND STEP
# 1 FROM "EAST" 2 "WEST"!!!
|
3RD STEP DONE REMOVE HAND CANE CURVE
GUIDE TM THIS WAS SO EASY MUSEM QUALITY CURVES!!!
|
LINCOLN ROCKER BE- FORE HAND
CANE CURVE GUIDE TM CANE SITS HIGH WITHOUT HAND CANE CURVE GUIDE TM
|
* STEP
# 2: The vertical STEP 2 will go behind STEP l, & NOTICE the Hand
Cane Curve Guide
TM holds the hand cane in place with the absolute 100%
correct tension so there is no looseness, movement,
or shifting of the hand
cane you are weaving so that the museum quality definitive curves in your
Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker will be 100% correct lying flat on the Circa 1800's
Lincoln Rocker frame
back!!!
* STEP # 3: This will be your very first diagonal step beginning in the bottom
right hand
corner!!! Again, notice that the the Hand Cane
Curve Guide TM
has held the hand cane in place doing its job to achieve a museum quality
hand caned curved back on the example Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker!!!
Now that
the Hand Cane Curve Guide TM has done its job it now can been
removed!!!
|
LINCOLN ROCKER AFTER HAND CANE
CURVE GUIDE TM!!! HAND CANE CURVE GUIDE TM NOW DO STEP # 4!!!
|
STEP # 4 COMING WITH
TUTORIAL EXPLAINATION, & PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATION!!!
|
STEP # 5 DONE ABOVE HAND CANE
CURVE GUIDE TM!!! MUSEUM QUALITY CURVES FLAT AGAINST FRAME!!!
|
STEP # 6 EXACT REVERSE OF STEP # 3!!! START 2ND DIAGONAL IN THE "NORTH SOUTH"
HAND CORNER!!!
|
* IMPORTANT NOTE:
Before we begin doing STEP # 4 on our Circa 1800's
Lincoln Rocker Project SM we will install in the back of the
Circa 1800's
Lincoln Rocker one (1) more Hand Cane Curve Guide TM which will continue
to hold the hand cane in place doing its job to achieve a museum quality
hand cane curved back on the example
Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker!!!
*STEP # 4:
Before we begin Step 4 we will install the last of the
Hand Cane Curve Guides' TM dead center horizontally
in the back
of the Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker Project so that we will continue
getting a definitive
museum quality curved hand cane back!!!
WE will be weaving our second vertical hand
cane step which
will go to the right of the first vertical hand cane step which will
be slipped underneath
the Hand Cane Curve Guide TM as illustrated
in the photographic illustration below!!!
The beauty of using the Hand Cane Curve Guides' TM you still
have absolutely no un manageable hand cane
movement to con-
tend with as we continue to complete our Circa 1800's Lincoln
Rocker!!!
It's a win win
solution to an age old problem involving curved or
oval
hand caned chairs whether, as I stated earlier, it's a fancy
Hitchcock hand caned chair, a hand caned Lincoln Rocker, or any
other kind of curved,
or oval hand caned chair!!!
* STEP # 5:
We will now begin weaving Step 5 illustrated in the photo-
graphic illustration below which
will be woven horizontally above the
last Hand Cane Curve Guide TM which will be woven over the first (1st)
vertical step which is Step
2, & under the first (1st) diagonal step which
is Step three (3)!!!
Now that you have woven an entire piece of hand cane above the
Hand
Cane Curve Guide TM you now may remove the Hand Cane Curve Guide
TM, and weave Step 5 to complection!!!
*
STEP # 6: This will be your second (2nd) diagonal step beginning
at the bottom left hand corner
with the very top of the back of the
Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker closest to you!!! Now absolutely postively
no Hand Cane Curve Guide TM will be necessary because the Hand
Cane Curve Guide TM has easily done it
job beautifully putting museum
quality curves lying absolutely, correctly against the frame of the
Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker Project SM example!!!
* STEP # 7: Binding the back of the example Circa 1800's Lincoln
Rocker Project SM off!!!
I do this completely different as you will
see by the photographic illustration of the Project Circa 1800's
Lincoln Rocker!!! When I completely, & fully explain WHY you will
immediately understand WHY
I do it differently!!!
* When I bind off Hand Cane I always use One (1) Size Smaller Binder
Cane so that my client can better, & correctly take care of their hand
caned chair
bottom they has paid hard earned money to have recaned,
& restored!!!
Leaving that extremely small opening around the hand
caned holes
makes it easy for the client to
to "Feed the Cane" in the holes so it will
not
dry out, & become brittle thus shortening the life span of the hand
cane chair bottom!!!
* "Feeding the Cane" Instructions come with the hand cane chair
when delivered so there is no misunderstanding guaranteeing a long
hand cane chair bottom life, & an
extremely happy customer!!!
* IMPORTANT NOTE: Relaxing in an extremely comfortable
Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker!!!
* In the
photographic illustration below you see two (2) of my
life long passion which are restoreing antiques from
the Circa
1800's to the Circa 1940's!!!
And the work will be done
museum quality correct, & this will
include the Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker, & be completely
functional
, & work, & can be used whenever you choose to use them!!!
Be it an extremely RARE vehicle from the Circa 1940's which I
own one (1) of the few known to exist from the World
War 11 era!!!
It's a really, really extremely cool fun advertiser for my Country
Seat Weavers TM Seat Weaving
business which has been in existence
since 1975, & is already
in the process of being passed on to the next
generation!!!
|
WHEN I COMPLETE CIRCA 1800'S LINCOLN
ROCKER I WILL ALSO N JOY A CIRCA 1941 RESTORED "RCA" RADIO!!!
|
*
IMPORTANT NOTE: When you use The Advanced Chair Caning Method TM
using The All New Hand
Cane Curve Guides TM you will never, never again be
wrestling with any curved, or oval hand cane chair
be it a Hitchcock hand caned
chair, a Lincoln Rocker hand caned chair, or what have you!!!
HAPPY SEAT WEAVING on any curved, or oval hand caned chair in the future!!!
Over the next few days I will be adding more photographic
illustrations for
your "HOW TO" Circa 1800's Lincoln Rocker
project SM until it is completely completed!!!
