After removing
the old binder cane, or splint from an old porch
rocker I always begin by "feeding the wood" before the old
porch
rocker back, or bottom is covered up by binder cane, or splint
again!!!
The second step I take is
to tack a piece of either binder cane, or
splint, depending on which material I am using, dead center in the
middle
of the back of the porch rocker to get a museum quality
curved back in that old porch rocker which gives it a museum
quality
curve; but more important museum quality comfort for your back!!!
