* IN A WORD "REST"!!!
* ON SAT UR DAY MAY 7, (GUILTY OF SLEEP LESS
NESS
AGAIN) 2011 @ 1:30 AM EST.!!!
* "Posting" Again
after the Sun sets in the West!!!
* Glanced at the clock this morning, &
it was just a few minutes
after nine (9), so I was starting my day on the right note for a
change which would allow me to take more than a Birdbath, get
dressed, have the Oatmeal Fuel Breakfast, take the
Meds, & get
to Church on time to get my Spiritual Food for the week which is
much needed
more than anyone will now!!!
* But again I was side tracked!!!
Hopefully next week we will
do much, much better!!!
* Tomorrow
I will complete three (3) "Rush" Chair Bottoms so
I can deliver almost every "Cane,
& Rush" Chairs' in the shop that
needs to be delivered to make room for nine (9) more "Rush"
Chair
Bottoms' to do!!! Then I'm finally DONE the whole back log of
"Projects"
to do due to the courtesy of continually getting a
different color of "Rush" material every
time I ordered it from my
old vendor!!!
* Now that I
have changed "Vendors" the "Rush" material is
cheaper, & the "Rush" material
"Color" matches the last shipment I
received every single time!!!
* Now I can "FINALLY" can kick back, & take a log over due
permanent R & R, & the "NEW"
Craftsman can now get to work!!!

* A "RUSH" CHAIR BOTTOM ENDED THE WEEK!!!
* ON FRY DAY MAY 6, (GUILTY AGAIN, "SLEEPLESS N C. H.,
VA.) 2011 @ 12:41 AM EST.!!!
* "No "Post" until after Breakfast later this morning so until
then I'm going back to bed, &
get a, hopefully little bit of sleep!!!
* 10:10 AM EST., & I;ve finished
an Oatmeal Fuel Breakfast,
Fruit, Meds, Birdbath, Dressing, & now waiting for a friend to pick
up a working 1941 RCA Victor Floor Model Radio to take to a new
home because I no longer want it!!! Actually
it's a "Gift" for all
of the help my "NEW" friend has so "Unselfishly" given me
since
my adventure to the ER, & hospital for Emergency "Open Heart
Surgery" last
November a couple of days before "Thanksgiving"!!!
* On the "Caning,
& Weaving" Front we're swamped with work
coming from all directions in the State of Virginia!!!
And it's a mix-
ture of a little bit of everything from "Hand Cane", "Machine Cane",
"Rush" Chair Bottoms', "Furniture Dutchments'" to "Refinishing" so
there's no boredom here!!!
* Today our "Project" is a
"Hitchcock" Rush Chair Bottom with
a couple more to do for this set of "Hitchcock" Chairs
anyway!!!
Then another set of "Rush" Chair Bottoms' will arrive from the
Charlottesville,
Virginia area Monday which will be reproduction
"Shaker" Chairs which will be getting
"Rush" Bottoms woven in them!!!
* And our "Rush" material
arrived this afternoon, & believe it
or not the "Rush" Material Color 110% matched our last
"Rush"
Material order!!! Think I finally may have a "NEW" vendor at last!!!
* Hung up an "Antique Spice Rack" this evening which has really
nice joinery in it!!! Black was its' color when I was "Gifted" it, &
when I stripped it it
turned out to be beautifully aged, with great
"Patina" Pine!!!

* ON THURS DAY MAY 5, (RAINS GONE, SUNSHINE
ARRIVES)
2011 @ 10:34 AM EST.!!!
* Everything is done "Late"
this morning; but never the less
done!!! Breakfast, Meds, "Birdbath", Dressed, and roaring to
get
started for the day with a mixed bag of Caning, & Weaving to do
today, + TEACH!!!
* And making arrangements to drive to Charlottesville, Virginia
the
first (1st) of the week for "Pleasure", & work!!! To be exact,
to pick up Six (6) "Hand
Made" Shaker Chairs' so we can "Weave"
our "Museum Quality" "Rush" Chair
Bottoms' in them!! Then we have
Five (5) "Machine Cane" Chairs' coming from Virginia Beach,
Virginia!!! And a delivery to make in "Northern Virginia"!!!
* Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving Companies' come, & go, &
"COUNTRY SEAT WEAVERS' IS STILL HERE
due to "Museum
Quality Work", & "Service"!!! Two "Big Dog"
Chair Caning operations'
here in Central Virginia are now no longer in business!!! GONE!!!
With the Next Generation doing "Museum Quality Work", & giving
excellent service at
"COUNTRY SEAT WEAVERS'" we'll be here for
many, many years to come!!! You just can't beat
that "GENUINE'
"SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY"!!!
* And yep, we weathered the Recession!!!

* "THE FIRST HURDLE"!!! MOVING NEXT!!!

* Later this morning I will undergo
my second exam after hav-
ing Life Saving Emergency "Open Heart Surgery".!!! I'm being
positive, & hoping for the best!!!
* So it's back to bed at 1:47 AM EST. so
I can get some rest
for my day later this morning!!!
* Will
keep you "Posted"!!!
* Also plan to deliver three (3) finished

"Hitchcock" "Rush" Chair Bottoms', & a "Hand
Caned" "Lincoln"
Rocker if we can finalize the arrangements' in the morning before
we begin our drive North to the Docs office!!!
* RAIN CANCELS DELIVERIES!!!
STILL LOOKING FOR A
VAN!!!
* Oatmeal Fuel, Meds, Bird Bath, Dressing
marked off of my
calander to do list all before 8:40 AM EST., & Fluids Checked in the
'42 Chevy so I can make the Docs appointment North of Colonial
Heights, Virginia
at 11:30 AM. which is more than a good hours'
drive in the rain with only one (1) Windshield Wiper which
ia all they
put on Trucks in 1942!!! It's a HOOT, & I get a lot of questions'
about it all of the time!!!
* Left the Docs' office, & drove to Woodcraft
to pick up some
"Machine Cane" for a "Project"; but first I topped off my gas
tank
for the return trip to Colonial Heights, Virginia & got the usual
comments about my
'42 Chevy with a twist!!! One gentleman had one
"Rusting in Peace" on his farm
in the woods, & his plans for it were
to send it to the "Junk" ("Bone") Yard!!!
I gladly told him I'd be
more than happy to purchase it for "Parts", & gave him my info!!!
Hopefully he will call!!!
* Will finish this "Post" after I return
from the Docs visit, etc.
later today at...5:52 PM EST. & I really didn't pay attentiom to
when I arrived at my temporary Gypsy Digs here in Colonial Heights,
Virginia; but I wanted
to Note (for me personally) that my Docs
appointment today was one to celebrate because everything
"Heart
Health" was where it should be, & I will be examined again in six
(6) months!!!

* ENDLESS "RUSH", "STAINING", "PERSONAL PROJECTS"!!!
* ON MAY 3, (UP AGAIN, CAN'T SLEEP) 2011 @ 2:14

* ITTY, BITTY "POST" @ 2:21 AM EST. N THE MORNING,
which I will finish later this morning after my Breakfast, & it's
going to be very brief about
the use of "STEAMERS" because it
is a subject which should be brief (in my opinion) because it
doesn't
belong in the "Chair Caners'" vocabulary in the first place!!!
* So off to bed I go, & I'll see ya again in the morning after
... 10:12 AM EST, & I all done with
the routine of Oatmeal Fuel,
Meds, Cleaning Up, Dressing, Checking Fluids in the '42 Chevy,
Computer "Post" for the day, then I'll really begin my day!!!
* "STEAM
VS WARM VINEGAR"!!! Which is the "METHOD"
"WOOD WORKING EXPERTS USE" to
eliminate THE POSSIBILITY
OF COMPROMISING THE FINISH ON "ANTIQUE" FURNITURE!!!
When
using a "STEAMER" you cannot control the area being
"STEAMED" to loosen "GLUE"!!!
When using "WARM VINEGAR" with
a "SYRINGE" you can control the area to loosen the
glue!!! Both
"METHODS" use the drilling of holes to apply the "PRODUCT"!!!
* IMPORTANT NOTE"!!! I'm not telling anyone which
"METHOD" to use because
that's your "Personal" Choice!!! I'm just
sharing with you what "METHOD" the
"EXPERTS" use because they
can 110% control the application of the "PRODUCT"!!!
* I am going to begin "EXPERMINTING" with the "WARM
VINEGAR" METHOD for doing my "Projects" so that I can "KNOW"
I have not
compromised my "CLIENTS" Chairs' etc.!!!

Finishing, & Starting to "Square Up" another "Hitchcock" "Rush"
Chair Bottom, Staining a "Hand Cane" "Lincoln Rocker" Chair Bottom,
& another
"Machine Cane" Chair Bottom, then "TEACH"!!!
* And in between
all of the above I will take a little R & R from
time to time!!!
* And now I'm going to sign off on this "Post" until...

& I'm finally up, Double Portion of Oatmeal
Fuel, Fruit, Meds, Cleaning Up, Dressing, &
contemplating how I
want my "Crazy Schedule" to be for the day where "Caning, &

probably be done first
so that the "Hand Cane", & "Machine
Cane" will be dry at the end

* 11:07, & all
that remains of my morning routine after having
my usual Oatmeal Fuel Breakfast, Meds, is to put on my socks',
shoes, shirt, & head out the door, crank up my ole faithful '42
CHEVY, & head to the Vintage
Car, & Truck Show in MATOACA,
VIRGINIA out in the country for a change of scenery!!!
* Then when I return home I'll get out in the shop, & finish
up a "Hitchcock" "Rush" Chair
Bottom, "Stain" a bottom support for
a "Lincoln" (Reproduction) Rocker, &
begin "SQUARING UP" another
"Hitchock" "Rush" Chair Bottom the
"EASY" way using a "RUSH
RULER" TM!!!
