* TOP OF THE WEEK RUSH CHAIR BOTTOMS' CONTINUE 2 B WOVEN!!!
* ON SON DAY APRIL 10, (& I FEEL
LOST TODAY) 2011 @ 12:21
AM EST.!!!
* Since Computer time changes
at Midnight I thought I would
stay up long enough to do a short "Post"!!!
* A couple of years ago when I got "Ripped", "Slammed", or
however you want to put it by several
individuals on the internet
I thought very seriously about quitting my "Chair Caning, & Seat
Weaving Directory"; but that's something I've "NEVER" done in
my life when I am in the right!!!
* The "GUILDS" here in Virginia are owned by the "GUILD"
Members', & the Members' whom do the "Accounting", & the
"Writing,
& Publishing" of a "News Letter" are compensated in pro-
portion to what the "GUILDS"
take in in "Membership Fees" on a
yearly basis because this is a lot of work to do!!! After
all we do
"RESPECT" our "GUILD" Members' here in Virginia, & do not "ABUSE
them, & take "ADVANTAGE" of their "GOOD NATURE" because it's
the "RIGHT" thing to do!!!
* Well, I've said enough so it's
off to bed until...9:12 AM EST.
& I"m early to rise for a change getting my Oatmeal Breakfast,
&
Meds out of the way for the day in spite of sitting here in my long
johns' doing this "Post"!!!
* It's going to be a day of mostly R (Rest), & No R (Recreation)
because
I still feel tired in spite of getting a good night's rest,
maybe not!!!

I will finish up one (1) "Rush" Chair Bottom, & start on another
today which is going o be
a "Birthday" present for one of my "NEW"
Clients' from "Northern Virginia"!!!
This "Rush" Chair has some
interesting "VMI" history attached to it which was interesting!!!

* ANOTHER DAY OF REST!!!
* ON SAT UR DAY APRIL 9, (THE MIDNGHT MADNESS
CONTINUES) 2011 @ 12:40 AM EST.!!!
* Will "Post"
today's news' after the Sun sets in the Weat!!
* Had a rough night Friday Night
so I cancelled my plans to
attend Church today after finishing getting dressed, having my
Breakfast
of Oatmeal Fuel, & taking my Meds all before 10:10 AM
EST.!!!
* The remainder of the day was spent in the R & No R
(Recreation) Mode due to really feeling
badly today!!!
* Hopefully I will feel better on Sunday!!! But regardless
of how
I feel on Sunday I will have to complete that one (1) "Rush" Chair
Bottom which
is now halfway Woven anyway!!!
* It is now 11:52 PM, & I'm beat, &
going to crawl into Bed, &
really try to get some sleep for a change without getting up again,
& then making a U turn, & going back to Bed again!!!

* WEEK ENDS ON AN UP BEAT NOTE!!!
* ON FRY DAY APRIL 7,
(MIDNIGHT MADNESS AGAIN) 2011 @
12:26 AM EST.!!!
* Finally making
progress on the last of my "Chair Caning, &
Seat Weaving Projects" since returning to work after
have
Emergency "Open Heart Surgery November 24, 2010!!! The
culprit was a "VENDOR"
whom just simply could not ship matching
"Rush" material per request of his (former) "Client"!!!
* Today my "Student" gave me the courtesy of cancelling her
"Chair Caning Classes", & rescheduled them for next Monday, &
Thursday!!!
* Working on a set of Six (6) "Hitchcock" "Rush" Chair Bottoms'
which
is funny because every single one of them is "Squared Up"
differently!!! And if I did
not use a "Rush Ruler" TM for "Squaring
Up" this set of chairs it would be
very time consuming to do costing
me not only precious time; but money as well!!! Really
"Doublely
Thankful" I learned this "Rush" Chair Bottom "Squaring Up" "Weaving
Trick" years ago!!!
Yes, we do "Rush" Chair
Bottoms" here at "Country Seat
Weavers" more efficiently saving time, money, &
to top it off
"Museum Quality" too"!!!
* Sometime within the next few days I will finish weaving a
"Porch Rocker" using "Binder Cane",
"Stain it", & get it out the door
of my shop to its owner whom is a "NEW" Client
as well as a "NEW"
friend!!!
* Well, I used up my measure
of "Midnight Madness" so I am
going to end this "Post", crawl back into bed, & begin
this "Post"
anew at...
* 10:10 AM EST. with the Bed made up,
partially dressed so I
can sit down at an Antique "Butterfly Dining Room Table" to enjoy a
double bowl of Oatmeal Fuel, & then take the Meds, & begin my day
of Weaving "Rush"
Chair Bottoms'!!!
* With the extremely "high price" of gas (Priorities
Change) I
still have another thirteen (13) various types of "Chair Caning, &
Seat
Weaving" projects' coming into the shop to do over the next
few weeks plus what I already
have currently in the shop to do
so from a "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving" prospective
I'm in terrific
shape!!!
* Hope the rest of the "Chair Caning,
& Seat Weaving Community
can say the same!!!

* THE DAWN OF A NEW DAY!!!
* ON THURS DAY APRIL 7, (CAN'T GO TO
SLEEP AGAIN) 2011
@ 12:27 AM EST.!!!
* Yesterday after the
"Rush" material had arrived the "New"
Craftsman at "Country Seat Weavers' eagerly opened
the package
to see if the "Rush" material was the "CORRECT" Color so that the
old man at "Country Seat Weavers'" could finish up his loose ends'
where "Chair
Caning, & Seat Weaving" were concerned so that he
could finally see him ride off in the sunset,
& Cane, & Weave no
more unless needed for "Advise", or "Help in a Pinch"
when needed!!!
* Today I will be happily weaving the last few "Rush"
Chair
Bottoms' I need to do so that I can finally take the R & R train
until I deceide
what I want to do beside "Cane, & Weave" Chairs'!!!
* The "Rush"
Material Color Issue has been going on since last
November before I had "Open Heart Surgery",
& has finally been
resolved after getting a "NEW" "VENDOR"!!! & yes I will keep
my fingers crossed that it remains that way for the "NEW"
Craftsman at "Country Seat Weavers'
also!!!
* Ah, Yes I will be "Teaching" again this afternoon which
I
throughly enjoy, & just may do more in the future if I'm asked, or
maybe I'll advertise "Chair
Caning, & Seat Weaving" Classes are
available in the area!!!
* Pushing One (1) AM EST. here in the East so it's time I
really call it a day, & turn in, &
get some rest!!!
* Will resume this "Post" at...
* A very late 11:01 AM EST., & I'm just gettimg up, eating
the Oatmeal Fuel Breakfast, taking Meds, &
getting dressed so I
can start my day, & weave a couple of "Rush" Chair Bottoms!!!
* But first I'll need to take a short trip to the local "Big Box"
Hardware Store, & pick up
some "Orange Shellac", "Boiled Linseed
Oil", "Minwax" "Puritan Pine"
etc., & do a couple other errands
before I can start my late "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving"
day
which will also end late!!!
* Weaving the "Rush" Chair
Bottoms' on "CURVED" "Hitchcock
Chairs" is done differently so I'll document
it along the way, &
"Post" the Method I use in a couple of days!!! Something
"NEW"
"EDUCATIONAL", & "INFORMATIVE" for the "Online Chair Caning,
& Seat Weavers' Directory" which results in "Museum Quality
Work"
every single solitary time with no exceptions!!!

* It's a little after nine AM EST., 9:08 to be exact, & I've
had my Breakfast of Oatmeal Fuel for the
day!!! Meds have been
taken, & I'n waiting for a "NEW" chapter of "Chair Caning,
& Seat
Weaving to begin here at "Country Seat Weavers'"!!!
* Today my first "Rush" Chair Bottom will arrive from Northern
Virginia with more to follow!!!
And then "Country Seat Weavers'"
will be getting Six (6) Handmade Reproduction "Shaker"
"Rush"
Chair Bottoms' from Charlottesville here in Central Virginia!!!
* This will open up two (2) "NEW" markets for the "NEW"
Craftsman at the wheel of
"Country Seat Weavers'" where we have
built our business on "Museum Quality Craftsmanship",
& "Service"!!!
* This morning when my "NEW" "Client"
arrived from Northern
Virginia with Her "Rush" Chair Bottom for me to do She commented
on "How Computer Friendly" my Web site was with the "Foto Buzz"
showing
what Her "Rush" Chair Bottom would look like when restored!!!
This was Her reason
for picking a "Craftsman" from my "Online
Chair Caning, & Seat Weavers' Directory'"!!!
* And I have heard that reason numerous times' from "Clients"
looking for "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving" "Services"!!! So this is
not my "Opinion"; but the "Publics'" Opinion!!!
* Ah,
& the "Rush" material arrived today, & the color was
"CORRECT" so I was
able to knock out a "Rush" Chair Bottom today
with a lot of "Breaks" taken before it
was done!!! Tomorrow I
will hopefully do a couple more "Rush" Chair Bottoms', & of course
I will have to take a lot of "Breaks" also before they are done!!!
* Well, its 11:18 PM EST. so it's time for these very old bones
(I really do feel that way) to call the day
a wrap, & crawl into bed
and get some much needed "Rest'!!!

* STILL ON THIN ICE!!!
* ON TWO'S DAY APRIL 5, (ANOTHER WAKE UP, CAN'T
SLEEP)
2011 @ 1:17 AM EST.
* Yesterday I "Shared"
with my Student "How to" complete a
"Rush" Chair Bottom, & I discovered still another
color of "Rush"
material when I began to finish up the "Rush" Chair Bottom I was
doing so now I will have to completely tear down a half a set of
"Rush" Chair Bottoms', & re
do them when the "Rush" material
arrives from the "NEW" "VENDOR"!!!

I will be doublely glad when this "Rush" Material Mess is over
with which is a "Situation" that
I have never encountered during all
of my many, many years of "Rushing" Chair Bottoms'!!! It
is very
frustrating; but I also know this to shall pass!!! And so will that
"VENDOR"!!!
* Thursday my "Student" will return for another "Share to"
in "Rushing" another type of "Rush" Chair Bottom!!! A "Hitchcock"
"Rush"
Chair Bottom will be the "Subject" of our "Share to" that
afternoon!!!

Well, the eye lids are getting heavy so I'm going to shut this
"Post" down, & crawl back into
bed, & finish this "Post" after Break-
fast later this morning!!!
* It's 9:08 in the AM EST., & I've had my Oatmeal Fuel for
the day, & shortly will turn my attention to taking
the Meds, &
then it will be "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving" time!!!
* Got really a lot to do where "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving"
is concerned, & tomorrow
I will have a "Rush" Chair Bottom com-
ing from Northern Virginia to do!!!
* Today we'll finish up two (2) "Lincoln Rockers'" back to back!!!
One will have the "Support"
installed in the "Seat Bottom", & the
other will have the "Hand Caned" Seat Completed!!!
* Then I will have fourteen (14) "Rush" Chair Bottoms' to do
which will be a mixture of "Hitchcocks'", "Mule Ear", & "Shaker"!!!
* And my day goes on simply waiting for the "Rush" material to
arrive so I can get down to the business of "FINALLY" wrapping
up my duties left to do at "Country
Seat Weavers", step aside, &
let the "NEW" Craftsman begin his "Caning, &
Weaving" which is
also "World Class"!!!

* STRIPPING A CHAIR, STAINS, ETC.!!!
* ON MUN DAY APRIL 4, (SON SHINE, NO RAIN, &
NO BLUES)
2011 @ 7:25 AM EST.
* 7:15 AM EST. & I"m out
of bed, & already "Posting" on this
computer which is really early for me!!!
* An early Breakfast of Oatmeal Fuel awaits me, & then in a
couple of hours I will be taking my Meds, &
then I may get dress-
ed and start my day, or I just may crawl back into bed, & get an
extra forty
(40) winks or so!!!
* Thanks to Frank's Cane & Rush Supply's extremely
"Poor
Service" by shipping me "Rush" material which I didn't order my
business is still "Crippled" until I receive "Rush" material from
another "VENDOR"
so I can get my business up, & running agasin!!!
* IMPORTANT NOTE:
WHEN YOU ADVERTISE A "RUSH"
MATERIAL PRODUCT ON THE INTERNET, OR ANYWHERE ELSE
FOR THAT MATTER "IT NEEDS TO DO WHAT YOUR ADVER-
TISING CLAIMS IT WILL DO"!!!
IF NOT, THIS MAY COME
UNDER THE HEADING OF "FALSE ADVERTISING" ETC.!!!
* AND HEY, I'M NOT AFRAID TO "POST" THIS ISSUE HERE
OR ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE INTERNET FOR THAT MATTER!!!
* So today I will
"Match Stain" using "Toothpaste", & then run
an "Alcohol Test" to determine
what the final finish is on the stain!!!
* And then I will begin doing a tear down
on a lovely "Hand
Cane" Chair from the turn of the Century which has "Fancy" turned
Spindles' in the back of the "Hand Caned" Chair shaped like a fan!!!
Then it will be "Hand Stripped"
using "NO STEEL WOOL" which is
a real "No No" for "Professional Museum Quality Furniture
Re-
storers'"!!!
* The "Steel Wool" actually
does more harm than you realize
by getting into the grain of the wood, & this stands out like a "Sore
Thumb" on your "Refinished Chair, Furniture" etc!!! Not a very
pretty site to see
after all of the work it takes to refinish a Chair,
etc.!!!
* And the
remainder of the day will be more R & R unless some
thing else comes up unexpectedly!!!

* A DAY OF R & R PLEASE!!!
* ON SON DAY APRIL 3, (JUST ANOTHER RESTLESS MORNING)
2011 @ 12:56 AM EST.
* Since it's pushing one (1) o'clock in the
morning I will make
this "Post" short, & sweet!!!
* After
Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving for so many years I
actually find it all very boring unless a "Chair
Caning, or Seat Weav-
ing project comes into my shop which really presents a challenge
to me as a
"Craftsman"!!!
* This is one of the reasons I have at long last hung up
my
Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving Tools, & let a "NEW" Craftsman
run the show here
at "Country Seat Weavers", & I remain in the
back ground only as an "Advisor", & sometimes
"Helper" when
needed in a pinch!!! Besides it's more "FUN" that way!!!
* On second thought I will simply make a U turn, & go back to
bed, & finish this "Post"
after...
* 10:57, & I'm just getting out of bed to start my day with
a Breakfast of Oatmeal Fuel waiting for me, & then I'll take my
Meds!!! & then the
schedule for the day will be a day of R & R
with a visit to the local bone (junk) yard, & not a Chair
to Cane,
or Weave in sight!!!
& at the "Top" of the
week for a few hours either Monday, or
Tuesday afternoon I will be teaching again, & this time it
will be
"Sharing" "How To" do a "Rush" Chair Bottom using a "Rush
Ruler"
TM to "Square Up" a "Rush" Chair Bottom (We've done that) which
not only makes it easier on the "Teacher"; but easier on the
"Student" as well
because it eliminates any kind of measuring
devise!!! Now I will "Share" "How to" "CORRECTLY"
"Pad" a "Rush"
Chair Bottom, & complete the "Rush" Chair Bottom!!!
* Then my "Student" will be able to "Square Up" any "Rush"
Chair Bottom that comes her way!!! And she is really going to make
a great addition
to the "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving Community"!!!
* And my "Sharing"
with my "Student" will not end with the
"Sharing" of my "Chair Caning, &
Seat Weaving Knowledge" as my
"Student"!!!
* Today as usual I enjoyed reading COLD ANTLER FARM BLOG
which has had some very interesting "Posts'"
as of late by a terrific
writer!!!
