* A VERY, VERY
* ON MARCH 5, SAT UR DAY (OVERCAST) 2011 @ 8:04
AM EST.
* From now on there will be no "Post" on "Saturday",
& we'll
be doing our "Posting" after the "Sun" sets in the "West" on
"Saturday" evening!!! So until then...
* My day started
out with plans which did not materialize due
to an elderly gentleman's visit a little after ten (10) AM EST.
this morning which changed the course of my day!!! But should it
happen again I will politely decline,
& do what my heart was really
set on doing for the Saturday mornings' in the future!!!
* Had Breakfast a little after eight (8) EST. this morning
which was my usual Oatmeal Fuel with Fruit, &
then my daily dose
of Meds to start the day!!! Then I cleaned up for the day, got
dressed to
go out, & then my day was derailed by a 92 year old
neighbor whom dropped by for a short visit which
changed the
course of the day because I could not make my appointment on
time, & boy do I dislike
not being on time, so I simply deceided not
to go, & hopefully things will be different next week so
that I can
go!!!
* No Chair Caning, or Seat Weaving was done today,
& that's
going to be the way it's going to be on Saturdays' in the future!!!
Going to make Chair
Caning, & Seat Weaving the furtherest thing
from my mind on Saturdays' in the future!!!
* And I'm going to begin going to "Estate Sales" in my "NEW"
neck of the woods, & see
what they have to offer in the way of
finds, & surprises!!! Used to do this a lot before I moved so
I
think I will start doing it again because it was a "Fun" thing to do,
& was also interesting!!!
* Tomorrow afternoon I will work towards completing a "Rush"
Bottom Chair, & the "Binder Cane" Back of a "Porch Rocker" which
was rescued from the
"Dunpster"!!! It will be the Second (2nd)
Shock for my "NEW" Client Allen whom has been
so very kind to my
Son, & I after my "Surprise" "Open Heart Surgery" which was really
unexpected, & really a total surprise!!! I was really walking around
with an "Aneurysm"
more than two (2) inches in diameter, & didn't
have a clue about it period!!!
* Time to call it a day, crawl under the covers, & get some much
needed sleep!!! So until tomorrow...

* MATERIAL WAITING GAME CONTINUES!!!
ON FRY DAY MARCH 4, (PREPERATION DAY) 2011 @
9:09 AM
EST.
* It's 9:10 AM EST., & I've finished my Breakfast
of Oatmeal
Fuel, Fruit, & have yet to take my Meds: but will do so so I won't
have one of those
"Non Med" days due to having a "Senior Citizen
Moment" where Meds are concerned!!!
* Since there is still no "Caning, & Weaving" Material here with
the exception of a little "Binder Cane", a couple of pounds of "Rush"
this will limit
my Caning, & Weaving work to starting projects', then
completing them when the material arrives!!!
* Will continue my quest for "End of Season" clothing bargains
today for a few brief moments', & then begin the hunt in serious-
ness for a "Vintage" Van to
use for the "Country Seat Weavers'
deliveries, & pick ups of Caning, & Weaving from Craftsman
whom
always do "Museum Quality" work!!!
* And the phone
keeps ringing, & this time it's from Alexandria,
Virginia for a quote on two (2) "Hand Cane"
Chairs, & the promise of
more work which will push our total up to twenty-four (24) Chairs
of various Caning, & Weaving to do!!!

* CANING CLASS THIS PM, HECTIC DAY ELSEWHERE!!!
* ON THURS DAY MARCH 3, (WITH SON SHINE) 2011
@ 9:40
AM EST.
* It's off to the races with a very busy, busy
day due to the
long wait I'm expecting at DMV to get some legal things done in
reference to transportation!!!
* Unwisely I've borrowed trouble concerning my visit to DMV,
& I haven't
even walked into DMV yet this morning to see what
the morning holds for me there!!! But esterday it
was jam packed so
I know what the possibilities are anyway so that's why I'm heading
out early to
DMV!!!
* I've finished my usual Fuel of Oatmeal, & shortly will get my
Meds down the hatch after I finish this very brief "Post"!!!
* Then it's
off to a little more "End of Season" shopping, &
then to dear ole DMV for what ever!!!
* And next week we will see a flurry of activity at "Country
Seat Weavers'" due to the fact
that we will have a whopping twenty
two (22) Chairs' of various Canes', & Weaves' to get started on,
to "Cane, & Weave" them deliver!!! Just waiting on the Caning
supplies from one
of my "NEW" vendors' which is not a real
surprise because they've already gotten things mixed up so
there
will be a further delay on "Caning" materials arriving so we can get
down to business
where these "Canes' & Weaves' are concerned!!!!!!
* Well, not accomplishing
anything "Posting" here at this
computer so away we go until I see how my day unfolds!!!
* I was able to purchase eight shirts, & a vest before the
sales associate pulled the plug this morning
on the "End of Season"
clothing bargains'!!!
* And my number
at DMV was E 270 so I did have a little
wait so I was glad I went early to get it over with, & get on
with the rest of the day!!!
* At three (3) PM this afternoon I will hopefully
finish up
my "Chair Caning Class" because all we have left to do is Step # 6,
& Step # 7 which is is binding off the "Hand Cane" Chair Bottom!!!
* And this "Student" will be able to "Hand Cane" any "Hand
Cane" Chair that comes
her way because she has been to a
"Master's Class" learning the Chair Caning "LOCK STEP METHOD"
TM which is easier, faster, & far superior than the Traditional
Seven Step Method of "Hand
Caning!!! And she has been taught
"How To" do "ANY" curved "Hand Cane" Chair!!!
If you can "Master"
doing a "Lincoln Rocker" I think you can do "ANY"
"Curved" "Hand
Cane" Chaur!!!

* NEW TERRITORY OPENING UP!!!
* ON WINDS DAY MARCH 2, (STILL AWAKE AT MIDNIGHT)
2011 @ 12:01 AM EST.
* Really got a good laugh out of
a "Post" on the internet about
doing "Something Right" because your
"Forum" has longevity on the
internet!!! If you have absolutely "No Competition"
how can it do
anything other wise??? But having "No Competition" is subject to
change!!!
* What would you do if you were told your son, or daughter
would "NEVER" be able to work for an employer??? Would it
even cross your mind then to
teach them how to "Cane, & Weave"
Chairs!!! The rest of this story will be shared with
you in a few
days, & in a word it is nothing sort of "Amazing"!!!
* Well, another half an hour has passed after midnight so it's
time to cut this "Post", &
start it again after Breakfast, & Meds
later this morning!!!
* I'm
up before eight (8), & shortly I'll have mu usual Break-
fast of Oatmeal Fuel, & take my Meds,
& out the shop door I'll
go doing two (2) things this morning, ordering Caning Material, &
going shopping for end of season "Clothing Bargains" so I can add
to my winter wardrobe
so I will have something different to wear
next winter!!!
* "Mission
Accomplished", & I'm going back tomorrow for more
"Clothing Bargains"!!!
* And today I will "Lay Out", "Square Up", & finish a "Rush"
Bottom Chair
bringing the total to Four (4) Chairs' I have to
finish before I'm finally finished Caning, & Weaving, &
they are
three (3) "Ruch" Bottom Chairs', & a "Binder Cane" Porch Rocker!!!
* And then I'm going to do a personal chair for myself which
will be an "Acorn" Porch Rocker with
a "Herringbone" Splint Bottom;
but first the "Acorn" Porch Rocker will be stripped, &
refinished!!!

* WORK COMING OUT OUR EARS!!!
* ON TWO'S DAY MARCH 1, (MIDNIGHT MARCH)
2011 @ 12:34
AM EST.
* In the next few days we will have twenty
two (22) Chairs of
various Caning, & Weaving to do!!! What does that say about
"Country
Seat Weavers'? And some of it will come from more than
fifty (50) miles' north of our shop!!! Two
words sum it up, & they
are "Museum Quality" Craftsmanship!!! And "Service'!!!
* The old '84 Ford van which had served us so well over the
past
five (5) years was pulled up on a roll back this morning, &
disappeared out of sight to who knows
where!!! Now we will begin
the search in earnest for another long van from the seventies
(70's)
or eighties (80's) to replace her!!! They are now more
difficult to find, & when you do find one you
pay a premium price
for it!!!
* We are currently using the '42 Chevy
again; but once again
we simply do not want to put a lot of mileage on this extremely
rare truck
from World War Two (2)!!! After all they only made
these trucks for just thirty (30) days!!!
* And tomorrow I'll get around to ordering some extra
inventory which I haven't done in a long, long time!!!
* In the meantime I'm going to bring this "Post" to a close,
& head to bed!!! And after all it's one (1) in the morning (AM), &
these "Old Bones"
need some rest!!! So...
* My Top of the week morning began just like
my Top of the
morning a week ago; but the time of day might have been a little
earlier or a little
later with a Breakfast of Oatmeal Fuel, Fruit, &
the almighty Meds, which can make you have a Great
day, or a
really Bad day like "Sunday Morning Coming Down" which by the way
was
a great song, & still is, & then ...
* I got all of the legal stuff
squared away today, & in the mail
so that will be behind me until May when it's ugly head reappears!!!
* It's 4:38 PM EST. on a cold, sunny afternoon outside, & I'm
on the inside just finishing having what ever they call it when you
have your lunch between lunch, &
supper, which was Pizza, and an
Ice Cream treat!!!
* Tomorrow I will
finally get that extra material order done via
Telephone, & then patiently await its' arrival,
& then we will have
a Cane-A-Thon, & a Weave-A-Thon until we have finished a really
whopping
twenty-two (22) Chairs of various Canes', & Weaves'!!!
* Not bad really for a newly
established Chair Caning, & Seat
Weaving "Business" which is just getting established in a
"NEW"
area of the State of Virginia!!!

* CHANGES IN THE WORKS!!!
* ON MUN DAY FEBRUARY 28, ( A FEW MINUTES AFTER
MID-
NIGHT) 2011 @ 12:11 AM EST.
* It's a little bit past Midnight
so I'm going to make this a
mini Post, & then get back into bed, & get some much needed
sleep!!!
* There will be no Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving activity at
the "Top" of the week in spite of the fact that the "New"
Craftsman has fifteen (15) Chairs'
of different Canes, & Weaves
to do!!! Why? Waiting on "Binder Cane", "Cane",
& "Rush" so
the "Country Seat Weavers'" shop can become productive again
for a few days!!!
* In the meantime we'll finish the demolition of the
old '84
Ford van, & begin the process of looking for a replacement van
for the "Country
Seat Weavers' Business operation to pick up,
& deliver the "Museum Quality" Chair Caning, &
Seat Weaving"
we do at "Country Seat Weavers'!!!
* I'm going
to leave the current "Shout Out" up for another
day, & then take it down, & "Post"
some more facts in the days, &
weeks to come which need to be made known to the Chair Caning, &
Seat Weaving Community!!!
* After all somebody has to do it, that
is someone with the
guts to do it!!! Me? I'm certainly not bashful when something
needs to be said!!! Hell, this has been long overdo anyway!!!
* Well, to bed
I go until...I have gotten out of bed early
this morning, & have had a Breakfast of Oatmeal with Fruit,
&
the Meds have been taken all before nine (9) o'clock EST. due
to a very busy day
wrapping up the disposal of the '84 Ford van,
& taking care of some other extremely important
personal
business!!!
* Then it's Van hunting, preferablely a Ford, to
the Antique, &
junk shops for a few hours, & then good old fashion R & R for the
remainder of the day!!!
* Got an E-Mail concerning doing six (6) "Hand
Made Shaker
Chairs" from Charlottesville, Virginia this afternoon which I will be
picking up in
a couple of weeks to do with a two (2) week turn
around!!!

* A CANELESS?WEAVLESS WEEK END!!!

* It's actually 8:56 AM EST oin the morning, &
I have had
both my Breakfast, & Meds before nine o'clock, & I'm actually
starting my day early
for a change with "NO" "Char Caning, &
Seat Weaving" in sight!!!
* When I did the tear downs on the "Mother Nature Rush"
Bottom Chairs' I found it both interesting,
& unusual that they
were "Padded" with Two Inch (2") wide strips of "Veneer"
of
all things cut to length for "Padding"!!! And that's one of the
reasons
for the documentation of "Fotos'"!!! The other was for the
"Harvesting" of "Mother Nature
Rush" Chair Bottom information
for my personal use for information, & reference when I do my
first (1st) "Mother Nature Rush" Bottom Chair in the near future!!!
