* DAY 54 AFTER
* ON DAY 54 AFTER "OPEN HEART SURGERY"!!!
* ON SAT UR DAY (TOTAL DARKNESS) JANUARY 22, 2011 @
2:39 AM EST
* & now there are just nine (9) days before I can go back to
work!!! And then what am I going to
do after I show, & teach
the "NEW" Craftsman taking over the helm at "Country Seat
Weavers' the few "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaves' He needs
to Master before I walk away
from a business which I have
really enjoyed doing going on thirty-seven (37) years!!!
* I still do not have a clue as to what I am going to do; but
one thing for sure is that I will not be "BORED"
until I finally
do deceide what I am going to be doing in the future!!!
* Well, it's time to hop back in the sack, & get some more
shut eye, & I'll certainly finish
this "Post" sometime after Break-
fast tomorrow morning!!! After all it is 3:02 AM EST in the
early
morning!!!
* I will share with you "How" I taught myself
the rest of the
"Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving Methods" after I got my certificate
at John Tyler Community College in Chester, Virginia, & had al-
ready started "Cuntry Seat
Weavers" in (South) Richmond, Virginia
where I hung out my first shingle in an Antique Shop in a shopping
center on Forest Hill Avenue which seems forever ago: but not
really because time goes by much quicker
than we think, or realize!!!
And suddenly you have been in business for how long, & you are now
how old!!!
* It's 9:21 AM EST, & I'll be up long enough to have my
usual
Breakfast of Oatmeal Fuel, Milk, Fruit, & take a couple of those
dreaded Meds,
& then crawl back into Bed under a small mountain of
covers, & then catch 40 more winks or so, then
get up for the
remainder of the day!!!
* After all I still have
nine (9) very long days of R & R to go
before I can officially return to work after more
than two (2)
very "Painful" months of recovery from "Open Heart Surgery"
which
was a real "Wake Up Call" where my health was concerned,
& a real "Wake Up Call" about
really appreciating all of the real
genuine "Blessings" I have been given in life to enjoy, & not
be
taking anything for granted ever again!!!
* When I began taking in "Chair
Caning, & Seat Weaving" work
I learned by the DIY Method with "Chair Caning, &
Seat Weaving
Books" after I took in the work to do!!!
* But "Mentors", or "Teachers" are really the best way to
learn if you have access to
a "Mentor" or "Teacher" because they
cannot only "Teach" you; but "Show" you
"Chair Caning, & Seat
Weaving Tricks" you just simply cannot learn from "DIY Chair
Caning, & Seat Weaving Books" because often times these "Trade
Secrets'" can only
be learned from the "Craftsman" whom thought
of them, & will "Share" them
with you!!! A lot of times they will
simply not "Share" period as I have learned over the
years!!!
* But I was very fortunate to have fellow competitors give me
the "Correct" tip on "How To" do "Rush" Bottom Chairs after I
really
struggled with doing more than one (1) "Rush" Bottom Chair,
& I use this tip to this day, &
it really does make a "Huge"
difference in doing the many different sizes of "Rush"
Bottom
Chairs', & it more importantly makes a "Huge" difference in your
bottom line because I do the "Rush" Bottom Chairs' just once!!!

* DAY 53 AFTER
* ON DAY 53 AFTER "OPEN HEART SURGERY"!!!
* ON FRY DAY (SONNY) JANUARY 21, 2011 @ 9:58 AM EST
* It's
10:04 in the AM EST, & Breakfast is over with the
usual of Oatmeal, & Fruit, & let's not forget
the Meds to which
I've added one for the road which I hope, & pray will end all of
the "Pain"
once, & for all!!!
* Today we, my Helper, & Friend, will help me diagnose,
& re-
place the "TIE ROD ENDS'" on the '42 Chevy if necessary. If not
it's back to the diagnosing board to figure out what needs to be
repaired/replaced where the steering is
concerned!!!
* "TIE ROD ENDS'" sticker shock was a $116.00 each
from
"ADVANCE AUTO; but fortunately I located a "NEW" repair kit
for a mere $34.95!!! No
nice comments can be made about my
local "ADVANCE AUTO STORE"!!!
Now it's just
wait until they arrive, install, & "DRIVE", "DRIVE, &
"DRIVE"!!!
* And then we will patiently await for the no work days' to end
per the Docs orders' just ten (10)
very long days' away!!!
* & then I will make a very short appearance, days,
at dear
old "Country Seat Weavers', & finish up the work I left hanging
due to the "Health
Crisis", absolutely nessary, "Open Heart
Surgery"!!!
* And "All" of my Clients' will still get the "World CLass",
"Museum Quality"
work which they have grown accustomed to re-
ceiving when their "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving" work
was
returned to them by "Country Seat Weavers" TM courtesy of the
next generation
"World Class Craftsman"!!! & I WOULDN'T HAVE
IT ANY OTHER WAY!!!
* TO MANY WRONG ANSWERS' (IN MY OPINION) ON A
"FORUM" MAY PROMPT ME TO THROW MY HAT INTO THE
"FORUN RING" (THERE'S MORE THAN ONE (1) LATE NIGHT
SHOW) SO THAT CHAIR CANERS',
& SEAT WEAVERS',
ESPECIALLY NEW ONES, WILL BE GIVEN THE "CORRECT"

* Well,
it's 9:21 AM EST in the morning, & I've washed down
breadfast with some good old fashion milk, &
taken my two (2)
Meds for the day with a day of no work ahead of me again which
will end
in just 13 days of the longest days of my life!!!
* Really did not realize
how absolutely "BORING" not having any
thing to do for the day is until I had this life changing
"CRISIS" of
"Open Heart Surgery"!!!
* But the
"Rush" material is on the way, & I'm just getting over
anxious to push, & pull "Rush"
again to "Museum Quality Standards"
which does not leave any room for the puffy looking
"Rush" Bottom
Chairs' like everyone else in the central Virginia "Seat Weaving"
market
does!
* & doing a "Museum Quality" "Rush" Chair
Bottom begins with
"LAYING OUT", & "SQUARING UP" your "Rush Chair Bottoms'"
"CORRECTLY", & it's so "EASY", & "SIMPLE" to do!!! Everything
is
"Uniform" from beginning to end with the need for little "Padding"
when the "Museum Quality" "Rush" Chair Bottom is finished leaving
you with a well defined
"Rush" Bottom Chair!!! CLIENTS LOVE

* Tried yesterday afternoon to place a "Rush" material order
with "Frank's Cane,
& Rush Supply" but there was no answer to
my phone call!!! So today I will try again, &
hopefully get hooked
up with Frank's Cane, & Rush Supply, & get my "Rush" order head-
ing East so that I can get back to work on the first (1st) of
February 2011, &
wrap up my back log of work at "Country Seat
Weavers" due to "Open Heart Surgery", & quickly,
& simply get
out of the "Country Seat Weavers'" Chair Caning, & Seat Weav-
ing business picture, & ...???
* Well it's is now 4:29 AM in the morning
so I will bid you good
night, & get some sleep, & finish this Post after Breakfast in the
morning!!!
* Burning the candle at both ends' will cease once I get the
"Pain" issues' resolved from "Open Heart Surgery" which have
literally become a real
night mare for me to deal with everday;
but I have been warned that's it going to be months before the
"Mending"
will be completed, & the "Pain" will end which csnnot
really be soon enough for me!!!

Breakfast, & Meds were taken hours ago because it is now
12:47, & I'm just beginning my day Ha! Ha!; but
I simply will not
be able to keep up this "Crazy Schedule" in the days, & weeks to
come if I'm going to wrap up my "Loose Ends" where "Country
Seat Weavers"
is concerned in a timely manner; but I've made up
my mind that I will do that "Crazy Schedule"
or absolutely no "Crazy
Schedule"!!!
* "Tear Downs"
on the "Machine Cane", & Rush" Bottom Chairs'
will continue today so all dead lines will be
met!!! And I will not
forget to take "Fotos'" of this "Machine Cane Project"
for a "Share
To" Tutorial on "How To" do this particuliar "Method" of
re-
placcing a "Curved" "Machine Cane' Bottom!!!
* Every time I do a "Different" Type of Chair, & the "Method"
for doing
it is not included in a "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving"
Publication somewhere I
want to do a "Tutorial" on that particuliar
"Method", & "COPYRIGHT" it
for a book I.m working on down the
road which will not be a "COPYCAT" Book of
every other "Chair
Caning, & Seat Weaving Book on the planet because it will be a
one of a kind book period which you will want to have in your "Chair
Caning,
& Seat Weaving Library" for a reference!!!
* Well, the "Rush"
material for seven (7) "Rush" Bottom Chars'
is on the way from Frank's Cane, & Rush Supply
in the West to
"Country Seat Weavers'" here in the East so I can get to work,
& then disappear from the "Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving Scene
for something else,
& I don't have a "CLUE" as to what that will
be for the present, or the future so I will
just simply be patient,
& see what's going to happen!!!

* When I actually begin working I will stop doing the "Day After
Count Down, & that's only a couple of weeks away, & I'm really
looking forward to the end of R & R
coming, & get back to haunting
junk shops, junk yard doging, & doing I simply do not know
what
yet; but I will figure it out in the near future!!!
* ON MONDAY ( ANOTHER
GETTING TO BED LATER) JANUARY

Within the last couple of days I E-Mailed Katherine Wilson
to get some information on her "Chair Holding
Fixture/Jig", &
learned it cost her Father a whopping $3500.00 in materials, &
labor
to bring her idea into existence!!! This was really more than
just a little sticker shock for me ,
& made me deceide against build-
ing one of these "Chair Holding Fixture/Jigs'"!!!
My Chair Caning,
& Seat Weaving End Table (FURNITURE) will do just fine "Thank
You"!!!
* & within fifteen (15) days' I will be able to put my "Chair
Caning, & Seat Weaving End Table" temporarily back into service
for a few days, & then
retire it temporarily until I can deceide
what I want to do in the future!!!
* Well, it's back to bed, & I will "Post" a wee bit after Sun
rise, or a few hours there after at
the "Top" of the work week!!!
* It's overcast today!!!
Does the weather affect your mood?
Not mine because my "Mood Compass" always points in the
same
direction, UPBEAT NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS!!! And besides
that's always a very
healthy thing to do because it always helps
to keep my life balanced, & centered etc.!!!
* I've going to add "Waffles" to my "Breakfast Menu" so that
will definitely be something different to look forward to every single
morning instead of just the
usual Oatmeal Fuel, & Fruit I generally
eat everyday, & of course the absolute necessity
of adding the
Meds with my Breakfast every morning!!! Yes, this was my Break-
fast this very morning!!!
* What about the Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving? The
"NEW"
Craftsaman for "Country Seat Weavers" will begin doing "Machine
Cane (ABSOLUTELY NO STEAMER METHOD), & "Rush" Chair
Bottom tear downs (HUGE FAVOR FOR ME) today
to prepare for
the first (1st) of the month back log of work which I'm going to
finish up due
to my "Open Heart Surgery" because I simply cannot
do any tear down work, or any work period
for that matter, & then
"Country Seat Weavers" will be history as far as I am concerned
except in an advisory capacity or in an emergency work situation!!!

* Had a rough night last night as far as discomfort, & pain
is concerned, & I hope I do not have any more of them!!!
* Will talk to
a friend whom has had the same type of "Open
Heart Surgery" I've had, & find out what his experiences'
have
been in the early stages of recovery where "Pain" is concerned!!!
* ON
SON DAY (WITH SONSHINE/HAPPINESS) JANUARY 16,

* The "Roosters'" have long since "Crowed" when I awake in the
morning; but that's
the routine I have been starting my day with
since I've had "Open Heart Surgery"!!!
* A Breakfast of "Oatmeal" Fuel with Fruit begins my day
around Nineish in the morning along with a
short "Spiritual" devotion,
& then my Meds are taken, & then I take a little R, & R
before
I do anything, or I may take a long R & R before I do anything
depending
on what I need to accomplish before the day ends!!!
* Yesterday I
received a phone call query from the Fredericks-
burg, Virginia area in reference to Chair Caning Work!!!
That's
pushing almost a hundred (100) miles from where "Country Seat
Weavers"
is located, & that's the result of my "Ad" in the "Online
Chair Caning, &
Seat Weaving Directory"!!!
* I know there are a number of Chair
Caners', & Seat Weavers
between Colonial Heights, Virginia, & Fredericksburg, Virginia; but
they do not advertise in my "Online Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving
Directory", & consequently
they do not care whether they obtain,
or lose work because I have "Offered" all of them a "Free"
Ad in
the above "Directory" so I have a very "Clear Conscience" where
helping
my fellow "Chair Caners', & Seat Weavers'" is concerned!!!
* BY THE WAY THE "FREE AD OFFER" STILL STANDS FOR
